Recover From a Sleepless Night

When you don’t get enough sleep you force yourself out of bed, get a big cup of coffee, and you don’t eat. Why is this the wrong way to recover from a bad night’s sleep? What should you be feeding your body when this happens and how do you tackle your day? On this episode, you’ll learn how to still be productive and focused when you’re running on very little sleep.

Try your hardest to wait to have coffee till you have something in your stomach, you will feel better, longer. -Kristen Nolan

  1. If you have coffee without food after fasting overnight, you’re using stress hormones and caffeine for energy.

  2. Have something to eat within 30-60 minutes of waking up to kickstart the day.

  3. Take non-essentials off your calendar. Conserve your energy for what matters.

If getting little sleep happens more often than not, it will be detrimental to your focus, health and even your waistline, because your body’s using stress hormones for energy. To get through the day, eat a solid meal first before you reach for the coffee, put your energy towards getting the most essential tasks done, mindless tasks will only deplete precious energy and focus.

Racing To The Top: The Tools You Need To Succeed In Life w/Simeon Ivanov

Do you struggle to stick to goals that you’ve set yourself? Are you unsure about meditation and what it can offer you? Do you know how visualization can help you achieve your goals? On this episode, former professional racing driver, Simeon Ivanov, answers these questions and draws on his wide range of knowledge in business, sports and relationships to give tips and tricks you should be using to start living life to the fullest.

If you don’t create these daily rituals that push you forward then you will not be able to succeed.

- Simeon Ivanov

It’s important to track your daily goals, because people think that they remember things or follow routines, but if you don’t track it you probably aren’t doing it.

Your body's autopilot mode is not designed to make you happy, productive or creative and you need to snap out of it and do something different.

It’s important to visualize your goals and ambitions in your head. If you can do that and set it as a goal, then you can make it happen more easily.

Simeon began by telling us about his life so far and how he went from being a child who didn’t have a lot, to being a professional racing driver, to owning a multi million-dollar company to then stepping aside and opening Limitless Academy in Los Angeles. Simeon went on to discuss how reading has been so important in his growth and how important it is to actually implement the things you read. Following on from that Simeon explained how he uses visualization techniques that he learned from racing and how he implements them into the rest of his life. We finished up by talking about Simeon’s latest venture, Limitless Academy.

We also discussed:

  • The five stages of human development.
  • Your body's autopilot and how you need to push it to test yourself.
  • What tracking apps you should use.
  • Simeon’s personal experiences of letting work get on top of him and the effects it had.

Your mind has a habit of convincing itself that you have done certain things even if you haven’t, so it is key to begin tracking your progress. You may be unsure about whether meditation is for you, but just give it a go and see what it can do for you today. All you need to do is download an app like Headspace and try it for a week or two and see if you notice any improvements. Through the use of meditation, you will learn how to control your mind so that it doesn’t control you. A huge component of being successful is being happy, so start creating better habits today.

The Big Mistake People Make With Carbs

Sugar has been demonized by different experts and food industries, but did you know that your body actually needs it for energy? What are the right kind of carbs to consume? What does your body do in the absence of carbs and sugar? In this mini-episode, you will learn about consuming food in the right proportions for your body and avoiding cravings.

Your body, especially your brain, needs sugar. -Kristen Nolan

  1. When you don’t feed your body, you get energy from stress hormones which are released to break down muscle, fat and tissue.
  2. If you’ve been avoiding carbs, try adding 1/2 or 1/4 cup of fruit to your meals.
  3. If you cut out carbs, which are very necessary to your energy levels, you will eventually get cravings.

Your body combines glucose with oxygen to create energy. In the absence of good carbs, your body will use its backup method of producing energy, breaking down muscle, tissue and fat, which is very taxing on your system. You need healthy carbs coming into your body in the form of things like fruits and roots. Remember your body needs sugar to live.

98% of what’s taught about entrepreneurship doesn’t make sense for 98% of entrepreneurs. How do you make sure your clients are buying into the most authentic experience of you? Why is it important for us to align with possibilities? What is the relationship between tasks, targets and goals? On this episode, Ronda Renée talks about divine navigation, giving more of yourself, and the importance of energy in business leadership.

A true possibility is going to feel so expansive that there’s no edge to it, and it’s something you’re doing for the energetic experience not specifically for a result. -Ronda Renée

At the start of the show, Ronda shared on divine navigation and how she uses that to help people get more out of their business and lives. Next she shared on how using your divine coordinates changes your life, and how she identifies that she’s overwhelmed in her business.
